Intro

Hey everyone! My name is Casey Bond. I am sharing my first blog post to introduce myself and explain why I've started this journey. To begin my information technology journey, I joined the US Navy in 2014, where I worked as an Aegis Computer System Technician (ACNT). I work on an extensive network of United States destroyers that connects radar, Navigation, and other peripherals to the weapon systems on the ship. To sum it up, we integrated everything to enable the detection and engagement of missiles. The network was Cisco-based and Linux-based. After serving six years in the US Navy, I was discharged and began working as an infrastructure engineer for the Department of Defense as a contractor. I had a brief stint working as a product support representative for FIS, a large fintech company. Still, I then transitioned back into a GS employee role for the DoD as an infrastructure engineer. I have been in the information technology and information security field for 11 years. Below is a list of my qualifications:

Why did I start this website?

Cybersecurity, GRC (Governance, Risk, & Compliance), and AI fascinate me more than anything. I love reading and learning about them -- in the process, I've noticed that many sites have portions of each, but nothing is pushing to bring everything together and make Cybersecurity the forefront of Businesses or companies. My goal is to create a website that professionals can use to stay up-to-date on all aspects of GRC, AI, and Cybersecurity. One-stop shop for everything.
